Only films that meet the following conditions may be chosen for the invitation to the Official Selection
1. Films that have been produced during the twenty-four months preceding the Festival will be considered for the competition category of the festival.
2. Films that have not been exhibited on the Internet, not released on OTT, not released in Bengaluru theatre and/or not released on physical media in India will only be considered for screening in the festival.
3. Once a film has been selected it cannot be withdrawn from the Festival program during the event.
4. After the selection of the movie, it can not be shown anywhere in Bengaluru till the festival screening.
5. All films must be presented in their original language with English subtitles. All subtitling expenses are to be met by the film’s producer.
6. Films chosen to be part of the Official Selection agree to use the “Official Selection” logotype of SRFSB on all publicity.
7. Selected films must reach Festival Committee fifteen days before the festival. The physical format of the film must be sent by courier or in person to the address notified later.

9. All expenses for the transportation (round trip) and insurance of prints are also the responsibility of their owner. The SRFSB covers storage and insurance costs for the prints of selected films while they are inside the official boundaries of the Festival. If a print is lost or damaged, the festival’s responsibility may only be engaged to the extent of the value indicated by the producer on the Technical Data Sheet.
10. The director of the festival has the power to settle all cases not covered by the present rules and regulations.
11. To be selected as a feature film or documentary, your film or documentary must be more than 90 minutes long.
12. Whatever equipment is used for shooting the film (mini DV, super 8, 35mm…), only the following will be accepted for the preselection:
a. Blu-ray Disc (Compulsory)
b. DCP – J2K or Upload a film.
13. There is no fee for the film selection and the screening.
14. DCP will be returned to the owner of the film to the address provided in the submission form by SRFSB (either by courier or by person).
15. Forms need to be submitted by the owner of the film if the film gets selected. The form will be sent to the owner of the film through mail or will be available on the SRFSB website.
16. SRFSB will send you all the necessary information on time, only if your film is selected.
17. Only debut films will be eligible for the competition section. All other selected films will be eligible for screening but not for competition.
